Flinn Scientific's Student Protection Contract
Science is known as a hands-on laboratory class. You
will be undertaking many laboratory activities
which will require the use of hazardous
chemical compounds. Safety in the science classroom is
the #1 top priority for students, professors, and
father and mother. To ensure a secure science classroom,
a list of guidelines has been designed and offered to you from this student safety contract. These rules must be followed constantly.
Two copies of the agreement are provided. A single
copy must be signed simply by both you and a parent or guardian one which just participate in the laboratory. The other copy will be kept
within your science notebook computer as a regular
reminder with the safety guidelines.
1 . Perform yourself within a responsible manner at all times in the laboratory. 2 . Follow every written and verbal guidance carefully. Should you not understand a direction or part of a procedure, ask the
instructor just before proceeding.

not touch any kind of equipment, chemicals, or
other materials in the lab area

in the classroom region.

11. Know the dimensions of the locations and operating types of procedures of all security equipment including the first aid system, eyewash station, safety
shower, fire extinguisher, and fire blanket. Know where the fire alarm as well as the exits can be found.
12. Constantly work in a well-ventilated area.

volatile substances or toxic vapors.

13. Be warn and move forward with extreme caution at all
times in the clinical. Notify the
instructor immediately of virtually any unsafe
conditions you notice.
14. Remove all chemical waste correctly.
Never blend chemicals in sink canal.
Sinks have to be used just for water and
those solutions designated by the
instructor. Stable chemicals, metals,
matches, filtration paper, and everything other absurde materials should be disposed of inside the proper waste containers, not really in the
sink. Check the labeled of all squander containers 2 times before adding your chemical waste to the container. 15. Labels and equipment guidelines must
always be read carefully before work with. Set up and
use the recommended apparatus because directed
in the laboratory guidelines or by your
